We start with a brand new gear and modify the taper to clear aftermarket crankshafts with radius that will crack your timing gear & damage the crankshaft/engines. We have seen this countless times when DIY and shops just put stuff together and not catch the fact the gear pushes .050"+ and when torquing the balancer on you are pushing against this gear and forcing it into the crank radius and putting preload on the gear. We have solved the issues after working with companies like Callies, Manley, Bryant, Scat, Molnar etc. to get the clearances we all need when running these aftermarket crankshafts. We keep these in stock and do not need a core as we only use brand new genuine cores.
